Dave & Jane Eastwood thank you for visiting the Ravenstar Website.
Ravenstar is in the township of Vatisker, on the east coast of the Isle of Lewis, 7 miles north of the main town of Stornoway.
We run a working Croft of 5 acres raising Cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, hens, ducks and geese. We grow most of our own vegetables and soft fruit, with a little left over to sell locally. We aim to grow things with no input of artificial fertilizers or pesticides.
We run a comfortable 3 star Bed & Breakfast with 3 letting rooms. We make our own bread, cereals and preserves for our guests and buy our other supplies from local businesses where possible. Many of our guests say that during their stay they felt “at home” and that’s just what we’re aiming for!
Jane provides Natural Therapies to guests, on request, during their stay and offers the same Therapies to local clients in their own homes. She is qualified in Reiki, Reflexology and Indian Head Massage.
Dave runs Ravenstar Forge from his workshop here. Working with a coke powered forge he creates hand forged pieces to order and also has a selection of smaller work available to buy. Dave’s portfolio is available to guests who would like to see some of his previous work.
